Well, thanks for the reports and saving me the round trip on trying them out only to return them. Sounds like they are a Miata only piece…and there is still an opportunity for someone to build a Fiat version. Cheers
Same. I thought about modifying it, too.Me too. Disappointed also. Would not go up high enough to allow attaching screw to thread in. I could massage/modify hinge hole, but considering the price, no. Returning.
I emailed them when I first ordered the part and they confirmed the part fit. Of course, it did not. I suspect this might have been a learn for them. Also coveted a set.. but emailed Cravenspeed and they said they don't fit a 124:
"The ND and the 124 are build differently in this area. The 124's trunk is actually lifted up when these are installed and closed for some reason".
Damn, blast, hellfire! etc etc
So true. I was in the market for an inexpensive AWD mini-SUV, went to Hyundai got on a Sant Fe for a test drive and as I approached a red light, I felt my soul drift out of me, slowly, inexorably...If
I need it to fulfill the the want.
Did these work? On the MX5 Things site, they state they do not work on the 124 Spider. So I asked Cravenspeed if this works for 124 and they said yes.
So, I ordered it. Will install in Spring.
