Congrats! Have your received the bag and poster yet? Pls post what they look like .
I was advised by the dealer, that Fiat will not send these items out until ALL of the Prima Eidizione have been sold...
I hope it doesnt take more than 4 weeks to sell all of them, and not more than 8 weeks to send!

So Im optimistic to get those items in 12 weeks...

Ill post pictures when I get them.

Thanks. I live in NY. Does anyone know where they will put the front license plate? Will they need to drill a hole ?
the front bracket is in the trunk. I suspect it mounts along the bottom edge of the front. I can take it out and inspect.
I can say with 99% certainty that you will have to punch holes.

In fact, the rear plate holes were not punched when I picked up the car. There were dimples where the screws went, and the dealer carefully screwed the bracket into them. These areas are all plastic of some sort.

Nice!
Any link between VIN number and the Fiat 124 Prima#? I have one reserved in CA. Only have VIN.
The dealer should know the #. My dealer knew mine before it arrived.

For VIN to prima#... I've found 0 link.. even the sticker doesnt have the car # on it. As far as I can tell it is only on the plate in the car.
There are plenty of VINs for Prima floating around..

Quicky review..
Im pushing 500 miles on my 124 spider. I have no real complaints. First sports car for me.

someone asked for comparison to the miata. here is the little I have to offer:
1) I like the look of the 124 spider over the miata ND. (I actually dislike the ND look..)
2) I think the car drives big. which I like. The hood sits higher than the miata I believe. Ive also got a Ram truck.. visually out the front, its a very similar experience. I like seeing that hood in front of me.
3) I like the door handles better on the spider. the angle is perfect for opening and closing.
4) The rest of the interior is basically the same. The look and feel of the seats is one area that has been discussed, but I believe other than the look and feel the seats are basically the same.
5) I like all the advanced tech, so my car is loaded. adaptive headlights (these are awesome), BSM, rear sensors, etc. But these are all the same on the spider vs. miata
6) On the engine.. Im not a performance car driver. Im not sure I could provide anything constructive here other than Im pleased performance wise. I have an auto, and Ive been playing around with manual mode lately. That mode is enough for me when I want to shift!
7) Handling/Steering - Fantastic. I love this size car. Very responsive. Nothing constructive to offer here vs. the miata.
8) Even though its a small car, I love the rear view camera. I wouldnt get any car nowadays without one. Whatever option gets you the camera, get it.

I guess that's about it. Looking forward to my next drive.

A few more comments:

Just hit 500 miles in the parking lot. Got a picture.

1) The bose stereo is really good . The speakers in the headrest combined with the others form a really good audio experience. If you have the extra bucks... between this and the rearview camera, I think its worth it.
2) Ive been using the manual mode shifting more and more. Given Its mostly city driving for me, Im liking the ability to move back and forth between manual and auto. I had a manual truck many moons ago. Im glad I opted for the automatic... (what choice did I have with the prima.. )
3) As reported by others the engine really doesnt go until 3000 RPM or so is reached. It really takes off then.
4) Im 6'0", and a big guy.. I dont have an issue with the space provided to the driver... however...
5) My wife likes the seats. My big frame is not entirely happy, as I was definitely feeling the seat rails. I nice foam/gel seat cushion has fixed that problem. MAYBE there will be something aftermarket .. reality is, I just need to get rid of more of my extra padding.
6) someone asked about the front license mount. I took some pictures of the punch out holes, the plate frame, and what it would look like mounted on the front. This will be getting dusty in NC.. I like the front just the way it came.

Extra comments if you are wondering which 124 spiders have the features referenced:

If you want the rearview camera:
A) Classica w/ the Technology Collection package.
B) Base Lusso
C) Base Abarth

If you want the premium bose audio.. 9 speaker package..
A) Not available on the Classica
B) Lusso w/ Premium Collection package.
C) Abarth w/ Luxury Collection package
Assuming all the documentation provided on the fiat site is correct, all other combinations have the 4 speaker audio package.

The dealership BEGGED me not to put the front plate on my car...said it would be absolutely hideous...and said just pay the fine...I am not a rule-breaker kinda girl, but we will see whether Law Enforcement thinks it is right to ruin a perfectly good aesthetic front end for a license plate law that sux. ;-)

Money is only one thing. It is a nuisance to be stopped by cops. Every time you pass by them, you just pray that they won't bother you. I was lucky some one finally figure out using the tow hook to install a license plate bracket(Elise).

Nearly 750 miles now.. took a nice 120 mile trip this morning before 97 hit the thermometer.
Was a great ride, top down..

I did average 33 mpg according to the onboard. I was up to 37mpg at one point.... I had the cruise on 60ish for roughly 30% of the trip...
On the way back I took more country roads to catch some curves...
