Someone swapped a GM LFX V6 (Camaro motor) in an ND Miata. Ignore the silly V8 sticker -- it's a V6.

My understanding is that this motor is one of the lightest domestic V6 engines out there. 300hp or so. I'd like to know how the weight compares to the stock motor.
What few people realize is that's actually an Alfa Romeo V6, which makes this swap a little more appealing to me. Back before Fiat bought Chrysler they were about to get in bed with G.M. Alfa designed this engine as a 3.2 and G.M. went with a couple of larger versions. It's a very good engine.

As cool as this is, one thing I want to see is a small V8 swap, much like what happened with one older generation Miata:

Plus, off the line torque should be better, and we all know how useful that is on the track and street for such a light chassis.
