Has anyone bought the WeatherTech front row floor mats and rear cargo mats yet ? I see they have it listed on their site. Best mats I have personally used before in other vehicles.

$109.95 for the front floor mats
$89.95 for the rear cargo mat

I know Aries liners work very well and cover the dead pedal. I love my liners and there is noooo salt on my carpets after the winter.
I ordered the WT mats before i even got the car. Winter in NYC , its a no brainer. Also happy it covers the dead peddle area. No salt, dirt or sand in the summer. Can't be better.
All well and good if your desire is to cover the dead pedal, and if you accomplished that with what you bought and you're happy with it.... that's great. But, that is not my goal. If you spend the money on a MOPAR dead pedal plate, you'd be reluctant to bury it under black rubber, doubly so since I don't drive my vehicle in the winter. But I get it. If you winter drive, it makes sense to fully protect the interior from salt and slush.

Anyone with the Coco mats that can comment on whether they cover the dead pedal or not, the feedback would be appreciated. Failing a response in this thread, I will contact the manufacturer to ask them directly.
I bought these:

They don't cover everything, but I don't drive this car in bad weather.
I had a set of Weathertechs and hated them. They slipped around. Tossed them in the trash.

Look at this post: https://www.124spider.org/forum/89-...knob-cobalt-struts-platypus-2.html#post138234

They should be the same as the Miata ND.. Lots of Miata owners have them and you can see some photos on these threads:

And if you are into the whole quilted interior thing (I am not) then:

I have a set of WeatherTec mats, they work great and do not slip around at all. Makes interior floor a lot easier to keep clean.

Thanks Salamander. That settles it. Hot coco for me (black with red accents). Yeah, I looked at the full quilted thing, and it kind of intrigues me, but ultimately I've decided it's not for me either. Like everything we do with our cars, we can appreciate what others have chosen to do, but wouldn't necessarily do it ourselves.

Living in Colorado I have Weathertech mats for the mud season and the red and black coco mats for the summer. I bought both sets used from the MX-5 miata classifieds last month. Great website, not to mention all the ND helpful information and threads.

I was a big fan of weathertech mats until I found TuxMat. https://www.tuxmat.ca

I bought a set for the Alfa Stelvio. The TuxMats fit tightly like a glove with 100% coverage of the carpet. They also look like a premium product, whereas the WeatherTechs look kinda cheap to me. I am really impressed with how nice these are! The price is competitive with WeatherTech.

They don't list them for our spiders, but they do have them for the MX5 ND. https://www.tuxmat.ca/store/p794/mazda-mx5.html

There is a inquiry page where you can see if they can make them for your car. https://www.tuxmat.ca/model-request.html

My Spider is stored for the winter, so I don't need winter mats for it. But if someone needs winter mats, it would be worth taking a look.

Thank you for posting those pictures. Very helpful. I was wondering how they'd fit over the infamous sub-woofer hump in the passenger side. The only thing that I'm seeing that is kind of worrisome is that the grommets appear to be bloody huge. I'm assuming those are the ones listed as "black and red" on the cocomats site?

Yes I believe they are #51 on their web site. Their fit is perfect, almost look OEM as far as color match goes, not flashy at all but they look like they belong there. The grommets are a bit large, but you really don't see them very much once installed. Top quality also, and the company is great to deal with

tad under 1.5" wide and 5" long. I found a red "Abarth" sticker that I put over the WeatherTec sticker.
Long Beach Jim: Where did you get the metal case you are using in your trunk for the tire kit?
Thank you for the clarification Dan.

Coco mat owners... do they cover the dead pedal area or is it left exposed?

I don't want to cover up the dead pedal plate I just installed, so the WeatherTech units are definitely not going in.
My Fiat trunk mat, which I got from the dealer, has more height than the Weathertech and is a good quality thick rubber. Not sure if Fiat does a similar front mat. I've heard good things about Weathertech quality too. Not much choice on the market right now, even for carpet.
Where did you get that neat metal case?

i hope he answers. He’s been off the grid for a couple of years.

Since the thread got necromancied .... the 124 Classica I just got came with a set of Weathertech mats. The driver's side mat fits terribly, as others have reported. It's super loose compared to the passenger side. Slides and moves around all the time. The "snaps" will snap but won't stay, they pop off all the time.

About to have to throw it IN THE BIN... and get some other mat.
My car came (used) with the hex mats from 500 Madness. They are quite flexible and the fit is excellent. They do not have side panels, but i believe the raised hexes will do the job here in SoCal where it does snow.
