Seeking advice from owners. What are your favorite and least favorite options? Which would you definitely recommend and which would you pass on? What options are most useful? Seating is definitely dependent on body size and type but feedback is appreciated.

How would you prioritize options?

Visibility Group
NAV-Bose sound group
Comfort Convenience group
Brembo brakes
Abarth Sport Seats
Recaro seats
Monza exhaust

I would say, all depends what you want your spider to look like or sound like. Once a person states the above then you can add the mods.
Visibility Group - Pending what 124 you bought
NAV-Bose sound group - same as above
Comfort Convenience group - same as above
Brembo brakes - would not waste money on that, unless it came with package(seats, breaks and so )
Abarth Sport Seats - Then you need to buy the fully loaded Abarth
Recaro seats - Save your money and re-upholster them later, once they worn out.
Monza exhaust - choose your own exhaust

I like my car, low loud and eye-catching, others prefer comfortable, quiet, elegance.

I am not concerned with appearance options.

I definitely want Visibility Group. Not sure how useful the safety stuff is with the Comfort Convenience group? Does that stuff work properly or an annoyance? I am interest in how well the Bose sound system is? Can a GPS NAV card be installed into a non-Bose/NAV to get GPS capabilities?

Some available inventory have Brembo but no Comfort Convenience group. Another has Brembo but no Bose/NAV. Others have Comfort Convenience group, BOSE/NAV but no Brembo.

I would if I could but there are limited choices now. There will some compromises with options. Just trying to get an idea of how owners feel about some of the options so I can prioritize. I would take Brembo, Visibility, Bose/Nav, Comfort Convenience group if all were available. Unfortunately options are limited to whatever is left.

I have a fully loaded Abarth and I love it... But, having had it for several years I may have done things different.

I would have preferred the tobacco colored leather seat option that is not available in the Abarth, I have the Recaro, but I think the Tobacco interior with my exterior would have been a better look.
I have Brembos and have found it really restricts the aftermarket wheels choices. Going without Brembos and then upgrading later wouldn't have been a bad choice.
I think you need to start listing out what you'll do in terms of future mods and make sure the foundation works for you.

I normally buy loaded but that's not an option. I would build exactly to my preferences if I could but there are limited choices now. There are compromises with options. Would you order Visibility, Bose/Nav, Comfort Convenience again? What would you choose between Comfort Convenience and BOSE/NAV?
That is a good selection of options. This is just my opinion, YMMV, but the Bose system is a technically mediocre system. However, if you don't plan or want to upgrade the amps and speakers later, it is better than the stock system.

I don’t remember what’s in the Comfort Convenience group but for me the heated seats are indispensable, as are the bright, servo-steer LED headlights.
I definitely want the Visibility package. Same with heated seats which are standard.

Some cars have Comfort Convenience group but no Bose/Nav. Might need to pick one the other?

Recaro seats are on a lot of cars.

The 2020 Comfort Convenience group has:
Blind-spot and Cross-Path detection
ParkSense rear park assist system
Heated exterior mirrors
Automatic dimming exterior mirrors
Auto dimming rear view mirror
Universal garage door opener
Security Alarm

Hi again....All of above bt YOU must decide what is right for your ride....The options usually include things like DV+, Lowering, Exhaust, Brakes, shocks,Catch can , Coil Packs upgrade, Tuning and Intakes, however...many here go GFB DV+ first then depending on what YOU want to achieve, Exhaust upgrade, Lowering /Suspension upgrade Tuning and finally air intake.......with all the options in between.......Not the law though, just feel your way through, Cheers

The only factory option I considered must have was manual transmission. I'm not very finicky about the sound system. Everything else I want above base I preferred to add myself.

Knowing what I know now, these are my lists:

Must haves -
  1. Red seats on Abarth; Saddle seats on Lusso
  2. Heated seats
  3. LEDs
  4. Brembo brakes
  5. Garage door opener, keyless entry, heated mirrors and auto dimming mirror

Nice to haves -
  1. Heritage stripe - I like it, but I also like Spider without it
  2. Blind spot monitor and backup sensors - BSM gives lots of false positives but is nice to have when it works

Can do without -
  1. Alpine speakers - sound quality is so-so at best
  2. Fancy infotainment system - I refrain from using it to avoid unneeded frustration
  3. Recaro seats - glad to have the standard seats; work fine and look great
  4. Record Monza exhaust - I ended replacing the standard Abarth exhaust with a GWR RoadsterSport complete system which has a wider downpipe and doesn’t use those troublesome valves on the RM

PS - I find these colors really flatter Spider:
  • Red
  • White
  • Pearl white
  • Silver
  • Lighter blue
Black and dark blue hide Spider’s sexy lines a bit much for my liking.

The most striking combinations are Abarth in red w/Heritage Stripe, or in White, Silver w/Heritage Stripe and the Veleno package; Lusso in white, pearl white, silver, red or light blue with the saddle seats.

The Bose sound system is not impressive; better sound could be had aftermarket IMO. I don’t care about talking on the phone through the car speakers either. Navigation is so-so; address entry procedure not worth the trouble for short trips & navigation setting aren't flexible enough for touring use. Main use is for long-distance highway navigation. For touring I use a TomTom motorcycle sat-nav that enables route planning by road type (avoid highways, more/less curvy etc.). I do like the backup camera quite a bit...more than I expected to. Keyless entry of course. I don't know that auto-dimming mirrors are a benefit; for me that technology never gets dark enough. I would rather flip the rearview and adjust side mirrors. Heated mirrors? My car doesn't go out in weather that would make use of them.

This guy “abarthized” his Lusso. He even sourced an LSD from the junkyard.

Not sure about the overall end result, but I do like the aftermarket saddle seats.

Now "I" LIKE that look...it goes and flows, 124 Lusso front, wide wheels, those seats and the hints of "Respect" to the 124 Abarth model...still got the steering wheel on the wrong side but "Hey".............Yep, easy on the eye. Cheers

Chiming in on the Bose sound system, I like the speakers behind the ears in the seat, both sides on the premium Bose sound option. They are particularly good at 75 mph with the top down in my loaded Lusso, rosso of course, and with the steering wheel on the correct side. LOL
