I think that the orange color might look great on the little roadster. Not so much a fan of the deep green/blue shown first.
I am totally with you Bud, however do not blame FCA too much. For whatever reason the current car buying public have limited their choices to a very limited (and IMHO very boring) colour pallet. And where the car buying public go the manufacturers will followThread revival and first post. Seriously considering the Spider, but the available colors leave me flat. Silver. Gray. Black. White. Blah. Even the red isn't Italian.
I am waiting to see what the 2018 offerings are. How about Bronze, Green, Yellow and Blue? This is a sports car, right? The boring colors all remind me of every sedan I see on the road. Something more exciting must (or should) be up their sleeve.
And right you are, too bad we don't get the blue one in the states. I sure would like to see a yellow one too.I am totally with you Bud, however do not blame FCA too much. I have a blue A124 and TBH if that colour was not available I probably would be still deliberating about whether to buy a 124 or not
I agree with you entirely, but I bought an Abarth in Pearl White. I thought it was the nicest of the Abarth's very limited color choices. (White, White, Grey, Black, Red, and... Nothing else!)Thread revival and first post. Seriously considering the Spider, but the available colors leave me flat. Silver. Gray. Black. White. Blah. Even the red isn't Italian.

I agree overall. I was really hoping the red would be more - well, more like the red on my old Alfa. Closer to guard red on a Porsche. The current red is still nice, but just a little too pink for me. I suggest, though, taking a close look at the metallic bronze as opposed to the other greyish and silver colors. I am constantly getting compliments on my car and in the sunlight looks sensational and full of contrast. Personally, my eyes tend to see it as more grey than bronze and yet I've had people come up to me and say they love that my car is bronze (?!). If you've only seen it online, its worth a personal look. (It's subtle but when next to the Meteor Grey its more obvious.) When my tires are worn I'll probably invest in some bronze wheels to highlight it a bit.Thread revival and first post. Seriously considering the Spider, but the available colors leave me flat. While I like being unique, I'm also conscious that I'm not a wrencher. Which means I'll need to rely on service at some point. I'm already a tad nervous about that since my local dealer has only ever had one Spider on their lot, a 2017 that's been there for months. But being officially orphaned with a rare vehicle is a bit disconcerting to me. :|Just further proof to me that Fiat will be gone from the US in the next couple of years...and Alfa probably won't be too far behind...good for us, it'll make our Spiders all the more "unique", as if they're not unique enough already! I've owned my Abarth since the end of December, and have yet to see another Abarth, let alone another Spider, on the roads around here, or on my numerous drives down to the "retirement" home in NC.
Some of my past cars include Merkur XR4Ti, VW Corrado G60, Subaru SVX, Saturn Sky, GMC Sonoma with an LT1 / T56 swap, Land Rover Discovery Series 1, and some other assorted cats and dogs, so the Spider Abarth fits right in! Luckily for me, there are a few Mopar dealers around here that s/b able to work on the engine, and worst case scenario, a couple of Mazda dealers who s/b able to work on everything else. This is pretty much a "garage queen only drive when it's dry and sunny outside" kind of car for me, so should take me quite a while to rack up 100K miles. I'll probably hit the time limit on the warranty way before the miles, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed that this car will last a good long time if properly taken care of. Guess I'll have to wait and see...While I like being unique, I'm also conscious that I'm not a wrencher. Which means I'll need to rely on service at some point.
