A few months after buying my Spider back in July 2020, I purchased of a set of Advanti Storm S1 wheels in black, for that black on black look. I loved it, but then I got a luggage rack (silver) but aesthetically it didn't quite work with the black wheels, so I kept taking it on/off. Finally last year I decided I liked the look of the original Mopar rack better, and wanted to keep it mounted permanently, so naturally I ended up painting the wheels silver to match the rack. Very happy with the result

Thank you - I agree! I also think the silver on this wheel specifically brings out some design details that were lost in the black.

I just did the reverse and will NEVER go back to silver. Can't believe I drove it that long with them...Anyway enjoy yours everyone's different. But to me its the tail wagging the dog, matching rims to a luggage rack...

Man those black rims looks great...ditch the luggage rack though. Are you really going to strap your LV box to the back of your trunk? It reminds me when I see Jeep owners with big red water and fuel cans on their vehicle...yeah you're going on a Safari in Georgia. 🤣

I actually do use the rack but that is beside the point -- some people actually like the look of it (have you never seen those old school roadsters with the boot racks?). If you read my post, I said I've rocked the black for a while and decided it's not what I want. Glad you enjoy the black on yours though. Post a pic here and we can compare.

Yeah didn't mean it that way I guess my opinion came across strong. Love a luggage rack on a vintage car though. Serious question...will you ever use it or is it just for the look.

The main reason I got it was to carry my skis, which I've done a couple of times. Other than that I've strapped some clunky things from Home Depot on short trips too and it works well in a pinch. I'll probably use it for actual luggage sometime this summer. It's both for looks and expanded cargo space.

It’d be a shame to cover up such good looking wheels in black.

OP: may I offer a suggestion - have you considered adding a set of Fiat center cap covers? It’d tie everything together nicely.

I had not thought of that actually - it's a great idea! I'll do some searching around later tonight and see if I can find some Fiat ones online.

Ah, that's a beautiful color on your Abarth. The black rims look great on it, and no rack too of course.
And it's not lowered at all, right? Looks really nice 👍
