I want to say how good my experience was buying my 124. I flew all the way from Tulsa Oklahoma to Greer South Carolina to buy the car from these guys, and I then drove the car all the way back to Tulsa.

The people at this dealer really know Fiats and Alfa Romeos and it's a great place to buy a 124. They will ship you your car, or if you travel there like I did they offer a reimbursement package to help offset the costs of travel and hotel. They give you a good deal on the car and offer a very pleasant buying experience.

When at the dealer it will be very obvious that this isn't just another dealer that happens to sell Fiats and Alfas. These guys are enthusiasts. They have Fiat and Alfa memorabilia all over the place, not the just the standard stuff Fiat Corporate sends out, but a lot of rare stuff. It's fun just to explore the showroom.

They also sponsor the Fiat on the Dragon event and are a very mod friendly dealer. I want to mention that the studio manager John Montgomery is a serious enthusiast and a really nice guy.

Tell us about the drive. Ive got about 1200 miles on mine. Im loving it.

How was your experience on the road in your brand new 1-2-4?
The driving experience was great. I am 6'2" 220lbs and my son is 6'4" 190. Even with two big guys it wasn't bad. We had a fun time, the stereo is great and the car was flawless.

The 124 would not be my first choice for a road trip. As I have said before, it's a true sports car, not a GT car, but it's still pretty good on a long trip.

Ya know I completely bypassed the Fiat dealer here in my town, Auto nation Columbus, as I have for the other two fiats I bought and went to Fiat of Birmingham 150 miles away. Great people to deal with and very enthusiastic.

John posts over on the 4c forum alot and seems like a really good guy! Been on the Italian car scene in this region for years.

Haha I'm in Columbus too and I've been trying to drive the black one they have here without any luck since they dont have the keys for it. I will be going to Birmingham, Atlanta, or where I currently have my deposit at in South Florida.

The dealer here in COlumbus is hopelessly bad and has been since they were Carl Gregory. On my 500 Abarth the windshield cracked and was replaced under warranty. They cracked the replacement windshield during install, so had to wait longer for fix.

I did see they got the black one in, I actually went to look at it when it first got here which decided me on getting the 124. I went back to Fiat of Birmingham. A great enthusiastic bunch.

My sister bought her 500x from South Atlanta and she was happy with them. I just like tosupport FOB because they're so enthusiastic about the marque (and alfas too, I actually traded the 4c I bought from them for the 124!).

Also, in case you don't know Fiats on the Dragon has an annual Fiat rally up at Deals Gap every summer. They've got a fall event this year too. https://www.facebook.com/FiatOnTheDragon/?fref=ts
