Faraday pouch to keep keyless fobs safe in when parked at home?

One of my neighbor's cars was stolen from their driveway the other night. They had a car with a push-button start and the keys were not taken. Since the key fobs continually send out a signal more than likely their key codes were captured, relay attack then a duplicate key fob made. (at least that's what the police told them).

It was the only one I found that says it went through an EMP test. This item does exactly what it states. I placed 3 fobs, Audi, Abarth, and BMW it blocked all signals.

Great product - works to block key fob signals from criminals. The Faraday portion holds the key fob when you want to block the signal. Then when you want to use the key fob you just pull it out of the pouch and put it on the other side of the case when using your car.

The pouch is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Works perfectly and brings more peace of mind whenever we have to park the car outside or in a parking lot. They said batteries thought they were draining it because of all of the technology the car and the Smart keys are constantly sending out signals to detect each other.

Test 1: I tried to open the door keeping the key fob in the pouch and less than 1 in away from the door handle. The car was unresponsive. Same result even with the pouch open towards the car (key fob in) and 1in away from the door ...

Test 2: I removed the key fob from the pouch, got into the car, then put the key fob back into the pouch. The car didn't start and then signaled 'No Key'. I needed to remove the key fob from the pouch in order to start the engine.

After many tests and trials, we can say that we are very happy with the pouch and that it's doing the job we bought it for.

YES...Can't recommend them enough.......Bought mine almost immediately I bought the Spider....Scallies (thieves) throughout the UK not just sitting in a car near yours with a little electronic box awaiting your hitting the key fob button (happened with my VW T-Rock but I scoped the B*st*rds and used my key) and grabbing your signal but arriving middle of the night to hold one box up to the windows and doors of "Your Hoose" catching the key fob signal/ tra

For UK Members..."Monojoy" is the make, called a Faraday pouch and available (lots) on ebay UK for around £10-11 quid. Mine is Harris Tweed outer bought from ebay uk but I tracked back now not showing from my seller, and it cost £17.98 then so much cheaper now......

It's an excellent idea but the size (4" x 5.5") is a bit off putting since my key fobs for my cars are all on one key ring/chain and I'd need one for each fob.

If they designed it a bit different, this size would work for the two fobs I carry if they are allowed to sit side by side and flat. Another improvement would be how physical keys are attached. Something flat and slim could actually slim down the ball of keys I have to account for now.

Though attractive, I wouldn't want to lug one of those around in my pants or jacket pocket (I really like the Spider's compact fob).
If the goal is securing your car while it's at your home, a simpler and less expensive solution is available. And your fob will smell great.

You may have something there....recently I removed, deleted footage and refitted my Spider dash cam only I tried out a dash cam cable from a different dash cam and what happened was.........my key fob battery discharged completely within a few seconds ?! I changed the dash cam cable back, got my spare key fob and all was well, so...somehow, whatever was incompatible in my dash cam to Spider incorrect cable connection affected nothing but my un connected key fob battery so what you are saying is relevant, though I don't really understand the air waves electronic signal causing that to happen, but it did.
