The titled has your attention... 'Adult Toys' meaning assorted LEGO sets, video games consoles and a fancy (but affordable) home entertainment system. Why, what did you think?
Today, the nice FedEx man deceived a box all the way from Italy, nearly a full day ahead of schedule. In it, a 1:18 scale model of my dream car: a bright red 124 Lusso with saddle colored seats. It cost about the same as my current car payment. Pictures don't do it justice. I'm not sure if the models makes the wait for the 2019 models easier or more difficult. (Patients, has never been once of my strengths.)
Here it is among my favorite things, below my PS4 (Pro) and Nintendo Switch, and next to my favorite movie. My LEGO sets are the Saturn 5, and Red 5 X-wing, and some other smaller sets (mostly Star Wars). The LEGO sets on top of the shelf are built by my daughter (age 7); she likes them too much to take them apart...
I bought a small (1:43) model off of eBay a few weeks back. It's a great size for sitting at my desk at work, but its small size had me wanting more. The Model is from BBR, I understand there are a number of scale model cars makers out there. After seeing the quality of their 1:43 scale model, I decided to order direct from the model maker.
