I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the GuardianDesigns "corsa" wheel. Has anyone else had a chance to use this newest version?
I have a corsa on the way from them. Should be here in next couple weeks.
I'll post when it's on.

Sweet man, can't wait to see pictures! Mind sharing your specs?

I can't decide whether or not I want Alcantara and leather or just leather. The former can be a pain to keep clean.

That's why I went straight leather

I got this one: (just no alcantara- all leather)
Have you installed it yet? Photos? What are your thoughts? How is the red on the bottom once installed?

Thanks!!!

That's just the corsa wheel, they have a zero and a D design as well as a normal round.

I'm still thinking about getting the corsa wheel but black perforated sides in black with black Alcantara top and bottom, plus red noon marker.

Looks nice Steve but I don't see he 'D' design.

It's there, you can't really see it looking down on it.

It is a stock diameter wheel and it uses the stock bezels. The bottom of the wheel is flat, but not much of it, 6" or so. If I were to do it again, I would not bother with the D Shape because it is not very pronounced. I would also go with a 20mm noon Stripe instead of 10mm.

The wheel is very nice. The rim is thicker and the padding is a little softer so it is more comfortable to hold than the stock wheel. And... More Red!

So is yours just a D wheel with a thicker rim? AFAIK there isn't a Corsa "D" model.

That's what I was thinking but who knows The Gaurdian web site isn't very clear. At one time they seemed to offer a choice of different rim thicknesses for all their wheels, but but they tell me they no longer offer that option but instead all wheels are thicker. How much..... who knows. I'm thinking I like to have one of their wheels but I'm not ready to take a shot in the dark for $500.

Honestly, I am not really sure what you mean when you say "Corsa". I spent a couple of weeks emailing back and forth with Angelos at Gardiann Design to finalize the design of the wheel, and I thought he mentioned Corsa in there somewhere. (related to rim thickness, I thought) I deleted all of those emails, so I can't check.

As for rim thickness, I am pretty sure that I could have gone with stock, a slightly thicker rim, or a thick rim. It took a few emails just to figure out rim thickness. I was concerned that a thicker wheel would block my view of the gages on the dash, especially the Speedometer!

I went with the slightly thicker rim and I can still see all of the gages. Black leather top and bottom, perforated Ferrari Rosso leather on the sides, and Ferrari Rosso stitching. Initially, I wanted the seam between the red and black to be perpendicular to the rim, but after looking at a lot of pics of steering wheels, I decided to go with a horizontal seam.

Just curious, what's the velcro for above the rearview mirror.

thats for the wind redirector...sorry I can't find the link or proper name...But it sits on the top, hooks in and the wind will blow down into the cabin when the hood/top is down.
aloha mike

The "Corsa" rim is physically smaller in diameter and has an oval, thicker rim. Also, the thumb rests are a tad more aggressive.

Corsa is what I'm going for, I just cant decide on the material. Would love to have a tricolore noon stripe.
