Thought I would share that in case you have not tried, the manual fits in one of the behind the seat storage cubbies and the tyre inflation kit in the other. One un-cluttered boot and glove-box, or what I like to call the elbow box!

As a Brit (now dual citizen Yank / Brit) living in the US, the gun thing is hard to explain:

Gun ownership is part of the very fabric of America and many Americans can't understand how Brits let their government take away the right to own guns - gun ownership in Britain was always tightly restricted, but after mass shootings in Dunblane and Hungerford, it was made virtually impossible other than for those involved in land management. What many Americans don't understand though is that virtually no-one in Britain owned or wanted to own a gun - removing the right to do something you had no interest in in the first place wasn't a big deal.

On the other hand, because there is so little interest in guns in Britain its hard for Brits to understand just how ingrained gun ownership is in America - gun ownership is a defining feature of what it is to be American for many people here. Simply saying America has a gun problem so let's ban guns would be like telling Brits they as a nation have a drinking problem (which they do), so let's ban alcohol.

Did I go too far off the reservation there?

No permit needed here to carry in the vehicle'' I am comforted knowing a lot of people are carriers here.

The handgun can be loaded or unloaded as long as it is secured in the glove compartment or console.

No permit is required to purchase rifles, shotguns, or handguns. ... Open carry of a handgun is not allowed (long guns are allowed), but no permit is required to carry a loaded handgun in the console or glove compartment of a car.

Well, it works!!! My Blackhawk soft holster clips over the lip of the cup holder and one of my baseball caps sits on top to keep things out of site. Perfect!

No need for debate here, in the US gun ownership is legal. That's doesn't mean everyone wants to own, if not.... don't it's OK with me. Simple really.

For 7 years, until 2015, I kept a motorcycle in Germany for summer getaways, rode all over Europe but mostly in the Alps. Each year I hooked up for a week with a group of about 45 riders from all over Europe, mostly Finns and Brit's. Seems the Brits were less tolerant to our cultural difference then the other in the group. We had many deep discussions around the topic of personal freedom. Seem there culture of being ruled by a king, treated as surfs with few rights had a lot to do with their views. The same folks thought it was OK to have officials of an international body that they did not elect (EU) decide laws and policy for their country. Certainty perplexing to me.

I don't drink alcohol but have no problem with those that do, it's their right. OK now, carry on folks.

Yes, it's not Kansas anymore....at least not in sunny Florida. I carry it for protection and have no plans on using it unless absolutely necessary. I was trained by the US government. Yes I value my life more than some SOB that might want mess with it.
Peace.

My manuals and log book are in a folder which has the hooks from your hook & loop type fastening on the back, this means it sticks to the carpeted bits of trim. I've got my log book stuck behind the passenger seat, just above the floor. Just as easy to access as the cubbies behind the seats but its otherwise wasted space. I use the cubbies for storing other junk I can't stick to the carpet but don't need in a hurry.

Good idea. I use the cubby behind the pax seat for the top cover and the cubby behind the driver for mission storage, an example is my DSLR with a decent range zoom fits in there quite nicely.
