Multi air no compression

Hello I posted in a fiat 500 engine with no help. Every time I good I get good answers from this forum so I figured I’d ask for some help here:

I have a 2013 fiat 500 pop 1.4l multi air non turbo. I just replace the engine with a junkyard engine. It just won’t start the engine has zero compression, I’ve tried priming the multi air brick by pressing the ball valve, pouring a little oil down the oil filter, I think it was clogged maybe because it was full of oil until I pushed the black piece down and the oil drained down, I also drained about a qt of oil and refiled it through the top with fresh oil, I’ve been cranking at it for 2 days now I get a popping sound from the intake but that’s it.

I also just took off the valve covers and manual pumped oil into all the relief holes in hear pocket. They all shoot oil out so I’m guessing it’s primed but no compression still.

Edit:
oil pressure light goes off does that mean pump is primed? Sorry for bad videos I had it saved on my phone just to show cranking but you can make out the oil light in the fuzz. Motor is now out and junkyard is supposed to find me a replacement

Any help to get it started would be greatly appreciated

try several short tries, it has to build oil pressure, if after a dozen tries, maybe your gas pump.
Hello yes I did shorts the first day with no luck and started doing longer ones with no luck. Just my starter getting really hot. Wouldn’t the oil coming out of the multi air be signs it has oil pressure? Is there any way to pressurize it with compress air. Someone said they put air down the oil dipstick tube

I'm used to starting the engine with the cover on so I can't tell from the video if the issue is lack of oil pump prime, it has a distinct sound. The fact that you get oil in the multi brick does not mean that the oil pump has prime. If the oil pump is primed, when you start the car the oil pressure signal should go out on your instrument cluster, unless of course it's malfunctioned but that's not likely, although you did put in an engine so maybe I shouldn't be so dismissive. Alright, assume that the oil pump is not primed, the only 100% sure fire way I know to get it primed is to open the suction side port, squirt some oil in there and it should start with minimal (1-2 tries) effort, unlike the other solution that require many, many starts. Here's a link for reference. https://www.124spider.org/threads/a...-an-extended-time.44229/?post_id=624658&nested_view=1&sortby=oldest#post-624658
Hello thanks for the reply. When I turn the key to on the oil pressure light is on but then it turns off after a few seconds. Does that mean my oil pump is indeed primed?

If the oil pressure indicator is the one at about 2:30 (position), which disappears fairly quick after first cranking yes it looks like your pump is getting primed and pressurizing.
Ok thank you. I will be getting a replacement engine under warranty. I should tell them to give me a starter too mine got hot, but I don’t want to be a PIA lol.

Hello just an update for everyone the junkyard sent me a replacement engine and it fired up within a handful of cranks. So the other engine had to have had something wrong. Maybe the multi air brick. I just have to finishing putting it all together now radiator, bumpers, ect and then hopefully it’ll run for a while thanks for all the help
