I'm with you on the idea that there should be more aftermarket for this. I just threw on some 16x8 with 245's and they stick out just a tiny bit, but a set of flares would remedy that. I also contacted vendors about splitters who are now just in beta testing with them apparently.

 

I wish it was that easy to mod! Great looking car with the (fictional) mods but I don't see why it can't be done. I sure wish my car revved that fast and sounded like that. I promise not to drive like a complete dill hole like that guy.

 

It's discouraging not seeing any work in progress for stuff like this..
Feels like the vast majority of people who own the 124 are less into tinkering than their ND counterparts ?

 

Could be the 124 Spider is only 2 years old and the counter part is over 20 years old?

Thing is, all Miatas fit the tuner/import image but not all 124s do. The Lussos and Classicas have more of a luxury/classic car image to them (hence the names I guess) so you can easily make them look cheap with exterior mods if you're not careful. Abarths might do fine with body kits but then it's only one out of three trims... smaller market.
