Found these that maybe you can check on to see if they are worth adding. Figure more choices are good?
Phillips 66 recommends SHIELD EURO-TECH 5W-40. data sheet http://distributors.phillips66lubricants.com/brands-products/pdfs/automotive/Shield-Euro-Tech.pdf
There is also Fuchs TITAN GT1 5W-40 (XTL-Technology) I could not find a data sheet.
Funny though this oil seems to match the other specs you like TITAN Supersyn LONGLIFE SAE 5W-40
I have a mind to publish a list here of all oils that meet BMW LL-01 and MB 229.5 and make a new list of them, but I'm waiting to see what information I can get comparing MB 229.5 to MS-12991 before I do that. Both of those are good oils. I'll do some research this week.

I am really enjoying this thread. Xtreme knows a lot about oil, and I am glad he put this thread up here. I really think the information in this thread is as unbiased as it gets. Currently my personal cars have only used the factory Pennzoil, but at Eurocompulsion we actually sell Motul , so I'll be switching to that for the next round of oil changes in my 500L and Abarth.

I have used Amsoil in the past and found that it's second to none. The list of oils is simply in Alphabetical order, and the list is short enough to fit on one screen without having to scroll down (on a computer, maybe not on a cell phone). For that reason I think the format chosen is both logical and perfectly fair. I would keep it just the way it is.

In Europe FCA writes that a ACEA C3 (5w40) low saps oil is recommended.

I will try the:
RAVENOL VollSynth Turbo VST SAE 5W-40
Fascinating. Do you have any documentation to support this? A picture of the owner's manual, perhaps?

Sure.
This is the EU manual who shows that FCA recommends a low saps oil but I have no idea why? I think, it is because they want to sell their expensive Selenia oil.

As you can see in my oil analysis, the factory oil also is a low saps oil. But I know that manufacturers give longer warranty (>2 years) on the engine in the usa.

As an "expert in the field," I have expended far too much of my time debating rhetoric on how my thread should be presenting objective information, and frankly have absolutely zero desire to waste even more time doing exactly the same thing this week. I'd much rather spend my free time on more productive initiatives than arguing whether or not an oil should be on one list or another, and I am confident that nobody wants to read these long exchanges, and that they are of little to no benefit to other members of this forum.

My goal has genuinely been to provide owners with objective information that they can view in the most effective way possible to allow them to make the lubrication choice that best suits their goals. As a result, I've added a comment next to each product that gets the same point across as the three separate lists I had before, noting which oils have MS-12991 listed and which ones don't, which ones claim to meet it and which ones don't, and any other relevant details I felt needed to be noted. The technical data sheets are provided for all of them. The options are now organized to separate Full-SAPS oils from Low-SAPS oils in two lists as that will ultimately be far more consequential to this community.

No, I won't be taking feedback on how to re-organize it a 5th time. Any other threads created to list engine oils in a different format, for a similar purpose, or for a purpose related to this thread will be deleted. No, I won't move AMSOIL from the top of the list, because it's alphabetical and its order has absolutely no consequence.

If you have any additions to make to the main post, or have any revisions to the details of any of the products listed, present them in this thread and I'll make the changes. All discussions of the MS-12991 specification are to be conducted in this thread:
http://www.124spider.org/forum/369-...ives-lubrications/15370-discussion-ms-12991-split-oil-filter-master-thread.html

All technical discussions regarding any of these lubricants are to be conducted in this thread:
http://www.124spider.org/forum/369-...rum/369-oils-fluids-fuel-additives-lubrications/10993-engine-oil-tech-talk.html

Any posts created in this thread not for the purpose of updating the details of any of the items (with evidence provided to support the change) will be deleted. Again, any changes you believe are appropriate require that evidence is provided to make the change. A personal vendetta against an oil company or its affiliates is not considered valid evidence for making a change.

If anyone doesn't like it, you can go...

I totally agree with you. You, sir, have provided us with a well researched list of oils/filters and it is now our option what to do with that list. If you want to have a discussion regarding ExtremeRevolution’s suggestions/recommendations, start a new thread. Stickys are used as references for other forum members and should not be used to discuss pros and cons. I applaud you for the hard work you’ve put into this. The list is comprehensive, well researched, and well organized. Thank you.

First oil change after 10,500km .... now it is a 5w30 and no 5w40

For comparison, the same oil after 3700km.
Yep, I noticed some serious fuel dilution on my first oil change as well. I'm not sure if that's typical for these engines or if it's just during the engine break-in process.

Look at the report. There is no fuel dilution. Just 0,5% fuel.
The factory oil is crap and i would recomend a change after 1500miles.
Not all methods for reporting fuel dilution are reliable, but for the record, I can't read that report as it's not in English.

Viscosity did thin down to an SAE-30. I saw over 5% fuel dilution on my sample which is the only reason mine thinned down.

Any ideas what the factory oil is?

I have no idea what oil is used at the factory, but it definitely isn´t a good oil.
Now I use the Selenia Sport 5w40 which specs are the same as the Selenia Abarth 5w40
I will analyse the oil in april, after that I can tell you how good the Selenia premium stuff is. ;)

Where on the report does it show fuel dilution, and do you know the method used?

I was just looking at the Castrol web page and they now list Edge Turbo Diesel 5w40 for some of the Fiat 1.4 turbo applications. The PDS hasn't been updated for years, so I don't know why the change. New formula for Dexos Gen2? It's sort of irrelevant, because I've never seen this stuff on a store shelf.

Regarding your reply, it's starting to seem as though most Full-SAPS (229.5) and all low-SAPS (BMW 229.51) oils are being recommended for the 1.4L Multiair.

I would'nt use Castrol to oil a door hinge, let alone an engine...
