My car has always had a slight vibration when hot, which can be felt mainly through the gear lever. yesterday it had its third annual service, and spark plugs were changed which made no difference. When i got home I left the car idling and as is my habit, I had a look around the engine bay, to make sure everything was put back correctly, and nothing missing.
Firstly when I touched the hood prop rod it was almost too hot to touch, as well as the steel brace over the radiator. The car was driven through stop start traffic but I found it concerning. engine tempreture was normal. The other issue I found is that the radiator cradle and fan assembly seem loose, which I think may be the cause of the vibration. I can see the two mounting brackets on the top but the locating pins move freely inside them. Anyone had either of these issues?
