although I really want wider wheels and tires...
1. I LOVE the stock Abarth wheels
2. My tires are still new
Sooooo with that said I think I'm OK with where the fronts sit, but I want to push my rear wheels fender flush. So 2 questions...
1. Which spacers are you guys running that are quality items that wont ruin my car
2. What size are you running and why?

Hi, I need your help guys!

I'm Running stock Lusso wheels with 205/45/17 and thinking of spacers either from Eibach or ILmotorsports.
FRONT: 15mm (30 total on axle)
REAR: either 15mm (30) or 20mm (40).

Down the road I want to get Ohlins R&T with some lowering (undecided as to how much lowering but will be min. 15mm and max. 30mm lower, that's between 0.6" and 1.2" for you imperial fans).

I have 2 questions:
1- Will have have to cut the stock studs or can the Lusso wheel recesses accommodate them?
2- Is there any risk of rubbing over bumps or full steering lock after I lower the car (I assume there is zero risk on OEM height)?

In my experience

1)yes you'll need to cut them
2) no at 15/20

Thanks, I'll have a look and see if they are available in Europe :)
Are you sure they'll work on the not-so-great lusso wheels? I think it has to do with the recess of the wheels being deep enough to accommodate the stock studs which come through the spacer...

As someone who just added 15mm spacer adapters (the ones that come with pressed lug bolts) the best way to know for sure is to remove a wheel and measure the depth of the center of the cutouts. The stock lug bolts are ~25mm passed the rotor, so for 15mm spacers you will need wheel cutouts of at least 10mm. If needed, you can probably safely grind a couple of mm from the lugs and still get your recommended 6.5 turns if you decide to remove the spacers.

I did measure and found about 10mm recess but not flat. It rounded to 8mm at the edges so wasnt confident

Then aside from measuring the next way to know for sure is buy the spacers, mount them, paint the tip of the stock lugs with a grease pen, mount the wheel, remove it, then see if any of the paint transferred to the wheel. Also with the wheel mounted on the spacer, go underneath and inspect to see if the wheel is flush against the spacer. Try sliding a piece of paper between to confirm a gap or not.

Ordered the GarageLine 15/20 kit - will post pics once they’re installed.

I installed H&R 36mm spacers last week. 18mm per corner. The car looks much better now. The wheel wells are nicely filled out.

The GarageLine 15mm/20mm kit came in. The 20mm rear spacers fit the Abarth wheels, but the 15mm fronts do not fit due to clearance issues between the OEM stud and the recessed areas on the back of the wheels.

I didn’t have enough time to measure but I’d say it’s about 3mm off. I’m not trimming the studs and don’t really want to clearance the back of the wheels.
