I can say that the USB ports have challenges.
After I paired my phone and enabled text message display, I started having an issue with my USB ports.... and I don't use the USB ports to charge or connect my phone. The pairing was all Bluetooth. So now I have a situation, where both ports work, but only one concurrently. In other words, plus a stick in USB1, and it's recognized and plays music. With that port in use, plug in a second stick in USB2.... nothing. It stays greyed out in the audio options list.
Now, here's where it gets strange. If I unplug both sticks and then plug the first one back into USB2, it becomes active and will play. Plus a second stick into USB1, and USB1 becomes the dead port.
So, both ports appear to be functional, just not at the same time. I'm not an electrical kind of guy, so my question is, could this be a power management issue?
I've reset the infotainment system. Not a solution.
I've unpaired the phone, and reset the infotainment system Not a solution.
I've disconnected the car battery, waited two hours, reconnected and reset the infotainment system. Not a solution.
Nothing brings the ability to have both USB ports in use concurrently any more. I may have to escalate to FCA for resolution, but to date, I've found no one else who's experienced the same problem.
